Folks will be pickin’ and grinnin’ when the sweet sounds of bluegrass music waft over the amphitheatre in Tottenham on the third weekend of June. The Tottenham Bluegrass Festival Committee are pleased to announce that planning for this year’s festival is well underway.

In past years festival attendees have been treated to some of the best bluegrass bands in the world and this year’s stellar lineup is sure to be welcomed by all.

This year the Festival is honoured to welcome Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver to our stage. Doyle, an accomplished mandolin player, vocalist, and leader of this six man group is an inductee into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame. Doyle and the band are legendary for their gospel and bluegrass arrangements and are a sure bet to set the tone for a great festival.
Ray Legere, one of Canada’s top fiddle and mandolin artists, has teamed up with Gasp√© native Frank Doody and Acoustic Horizon, will be joining us on stage this year. Ray Leger was the winner at the 1996 and 2003 East Coast Music Awards of the ‘Bluegrass Artist of the Year’ award. Leger has accompanied recording artists Rita McNeil, The Rankins, John McDermott, and the Barra MacNeils among others. Ray Legere & Acoustic Horizon are sure to have the audience tapping their toes when they take the stage.
The Little Roy & Lizzy Show is a show that you will not want to miss. Little Roy Lewis and Lizzy Long, both multi-instrumentalists, bring us a fast paced, fast pickin’, highly entertaining show from the moment they step onto the stage until they make their way off.
This year’s Festival is shaping up to one of our best yet. With bands such as Rhyme N’ Reason, Barn Katz, The Emory Lester & Jill Jones Band, Marc Roy & Friends, Richard Dugal & Clean Sweep, Acoustical Strings, Dan Campbell & Limited Edition, Bill White & White Pine, the Ducharme Family, and Beeton Creek Rising making up the roster sweet bluegrass music will be ringing out over the pond for many hours.

Be sure to get your tickets early and mark your calendar for June 19, 20, and 21, 2015.
